With all kinds of plants grown on the banks of Lonluan Pond and its surrounding wetlands, the area is a protective habitat for water birds. The little animals and fish that also live in the habitat are great food for the birds, too. Migratory birds come here to take a rest or spend the winter.
Longluan Pond Natural Center is located on the pond’s west. Equipped with comprehensive bird-watching facilities, it is Taiwan’s first center on bird ecology.
