During 1980''''s, the development of nylon has gradually replaced the sisal industry and then Hengchun Hemp Plant was collapsed in 1983. Until 1995, Kending National Park Headquarters rehabilitated the site with its original facilities to set up the "Sisal Industry Historical Exhibition", which is opened freely for the tourists in order to enable people to understand the development of Hengchun''''s sisal industry.
