Some locals were said to have fought against Japanese invaders on this battlefield. It is surrounded by two mountains that face one another, Shimushan (370 meters above the sea level) and Wuchongxishan (450 meters). The mountain walls are steep, and between the walls is a path that leads to Mudan Township. Rocky and with very few trees, this place can serve as a natural fort in times of war.
