Fuan Temple

Fu-an Temple, built in the Ming Dynasty, is the largest land god temple in Southeast Asia. Taiwan’s early settlers were badly affected by disease so a statue of Fu De Zheng Shen was brought over from China to protect them over 350 years ago.

The temple attracts a large number of worshippers on the land god’s birthday on the second day of the second lunar month and on the 15th day of the eight lunar month.
