The Dapeng Bay Cycling Series (hereafter referred to as “the Series”) kicks off in June and features both organized rides and self-guided verification challenges. The excitement continues with the Southernmost Point Cycling Tour on September 20, followed by the Light One Bike Series, which includes eco-tour experiences and long-distance challenge rides on October 3–4 and October 25. The Series concludes with LAVA TRI Dapeng Bay on December 5–6. By completing rides or checking in through the event’s activity tracking system, participants can collect digital badges and earn entries into prize draws, with a chance to win premium prizes such as an iPhone 17 and an iPad. In addition, during the 2026 Pingtung Travel Shopping Festival organized by the Pingtung County Government, visitors who stay at least one night in Pingtung and spend NT$1,000 or more between May 1 and October 31 can enter a lucky draw with a valid receipt, where the grand prize is a car worth NT$1 million.
To promote environmental sustainability, single-use paper cups will not be allowed at all event venues, helping reduce waste. The event organizers are also partnering with local businesses to convert event participation into tangible economic benefits for the region. Additionally, participants in the organized events will receive electronic shopping vouchers redeemable at participating stores, creating a seamless “online verification, offline redemption” experience that encourages local spending. The event also actively endorses sports-friendly accommodation, offering cyclists dedicated services designed to support their travel needs.
