Sailboats, canoes and yachts are available in this area. Physically challenged visitors can feel free to take tourist boats and dining boats and enjoy a leisurely round-the-lake tour. On weekends and holidays, they can even appreciate the bay’s bridge-opening shows!

This is the first bridge in Taiwan which goes up and down regularly not only for boats to come in and out, but also for visitors to enjoy some entertainment. The afternoon bridge-opening shows and the night-time colorful light-projection shows, held on weekends and holidays, are highly recommended. Traffic control is in place when the shows are on. Please secure a spot before the shows start. There are slopes in this area and thus we advise going there with someone to assist, just to be safe.

  2. To protect green turtles, from 8:00 at night to 5:00 in the next morning, May 1 to October 31 every year, night-time control is in place in Duoziping, Haban Bay and the area’s intertidal zones.
  3. For additional suggestions about a two-day tour, talk to local B&Bs. They mostly also hold scuba diving, star-watching, and thematic ecological tours.
  4. In respect of the area’s nature and to experience local culture, please do not set off explosives (such as firecrackers) and stay quiet at night.
