Dapeng Bay Marine Festival to kick off on September 25 during the Mid-moon Festival vacation

Dapeng Bay Marine Festival will soon be unveiled on September 25 and it will run until October 4 for 10 consecutive days. Large sailing contests, yacht displays, and bayside markets will all be held, making Dapeng Bay a great place to go during the Mid-moon Festival vacation.

Blessed with a natural lagoon, Dapeng Bay is ideal for doing water activities such as sailing and yachting. This year, Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area Administration invites all to get close to the ocean and have some marine fun at Dapeng Bay, through sports, food, accommodation, sight-seeing, shopping, and transport.

The festival will be held at the newly established bayside wharf and Bayfun Pier where visitors can wait for boats traveling between the bay and Little Liuqiu. Performing art, bayside markets, and guided tours will all be available. All visitors are encouraged to take part.

Globally-renowned Taiwu Ancient Ballads Troupe will dedicate a few songs at the festival’s opening event on September 26. During the festival period, indigenous Paiwan singer Aljenljeng Tjaluvie who won the Golden Melody Awards, Shallow Levée who was selected for the “Best Rock Song” of the Golden Indie Music Awards, and Pingtung’s local youngsters’ band Grey Youth will all perform at evening concerts, filling the bay with musical energy.

Along with the bay’s light projections, Pingtung’s farm and fish produce will be sold at the bayside markets daily until 21:00, for visitors to enjoy the bay like never before. For more information, please visit the 2020 Dapeng Bay Marine Festival website
